““I read at the Humboldt Hempfest last month and read a section about pot wives, which is essentially like a Betty Crocker or like a Beverly Hills trophy wife with more body hair. And there were a couple of pot wives in attendance and one of them decided to heckle me.””

here’s the thing about white privilege

so-treu:

it’s really not enough to acknowledge that you have it. like, good for you, but it doesn’t *stop* there.

it’s kind of one of those zero sum “if you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem” things.

if you’re not actively working to dismantle the structures that give you white privilege - i.e. white supremacy - then you are not only benefiting from your privilege, you are furthering white supremacy.

period.

anything other than that and you ARE the problem.

(and NOT my ally.)

“Then I think of you in bed, your tongue half chocolate, half ocean, of the houses that you swing into, of the steel wool hair on your head, of your persistent hands and then how we gnaw at the barrier because we are two.”

As University of Queensland shark researcher Jess Morgan explains to Discovery’s Jennifer Viegas, sharks are apparently reacting to global warming by mating with other species. In this case, it is just the regional specific Australian black-tip shark and its intercontinental cousin, the common black-tip. But a super-powered hammerhead/tiger shark can’t be too far behind. And after that, like Kool Keith said, who knows?
