I’m right there with you I fucked my ankle up a couple months ago never went to the doctor (no insurance) and it just buckled today and I can’t run :/

oh no you poor thing! is there a free clinic there? I can send you my crutches in January. the issue for me isn’t so much the break, although my doctor did call in several others to look at my apparently impressive MRI. (One of them said “Were you…playing football?”

But my right ankle is the one that’s broke, so keeping off of it involves attempting to get around with my left foot and crutches, which, given that my left leg is the one that spasms and has at various points in my life just gone dead from nerve damage, makes every step fairly excruciating. But hopefully if I am a shut in for a month I won’t need surgery.

Do you think you have a break or a sprain? I have some anti-inflammatories I could give you. Ice it and stay off of it! xoxo

I feel very compromised when my hair goes into ringlets.

Just not part of my outside world reality.

“Women and girls may be prone to stress fractures as a result of the Female Athlete Triad, a combination of osteoporosis, amenorrhea (absent or infrequent menstrual periods) and eating disorders that occur together.”

“A stress fracture is a crack that does not go completely through the bone. Initially called march fractures, they were first noted in the 19th century in Prussian soldiers who marched too far or too often. The injury has two main causes: too much repetitive stress on a bone and/or weakness of the bone, which can result from a number of different factors. If the repeated strain is greater than the strength of the bone, then it will fracture.”

- Finally my spiritual link to Prussian soldiers makes sense.
