A sad lady has an abusive husband.

The sad striking factory workers are starving.

The sad man and the sad woman fall in love and are happy for two minutes.

The sad man and the sad woman run away together.

The sad man wakes up to find the sad woman gone.

The sad man is in the war.

The sad man’s friends die in a mine flood.

The sad man’s friends are shot.

The sad man’s friends are blown up.

The sad man holds the hand of his friend while his friend dies and you can see all of his internal organs.

The sad man goes back to his bunk and changes his sad drawings with his new knowledge of anatomy.

The sad man is injured and almost dies.

The sad man recuperates.

The sad man joins the army again.

The sad man sees the sad lady’s sister and follows her.

The sad man and the sad lady talk.

The sad lady sends the sad man away.

The sad man’s friend’s child dies.

The sad man and his men begin the final advance of the war.
